The mind is a fascinating and complex muscle that will be studied over and looked at for eternity. Trying to figure out what makes it do certain things is something that not only fascinates Toronto naturopathic doctors but also intrigues them to no end, whether they have a theory that's right on the mark or dead wrong. One theory that even common folk have an interest in is muscle memory. When trying to describe muscle memory to someone who's never heard of the term before it's best to be as simple as possible and say that muscle memory is a form of movement where, over time, the muscles become familiar; the more you do something the easier it becomes and after a while it's like second nature.
An easy example of muscle memory is to think about a newborn baby learning to walk around Toronto downtown condos. At first they aren't sure what walking or crawling is so they have to repeat the movements over and over again and have to get accustomed to crawling and then walking. It will take them a great deal of practice to do so but they'll keep repeating the movements necessary for crawling and walking until they are more skilled at doing both by falling less often and balancing themselves.
During the time they are learning how to crawl and eventually walk this new activity has them using significant brain activity, a muscle memory if you will. In the beginning stages babies had to think about crawling and walking as they figured it out but then at a certain point they were just able to do it without having to think about how to do it so that their muscles become totally accustomed to the process. After a while of practicing to crawl or walk around their 18 Yorkville suite the body no longer has to be told what to do and just does what it needs to do. That unconscious process, where the body just knows, is what the theory of muscle memory is all about.
Many Toronto physiotherapy therapists theorize that muscle memory is a key competent of many physical activities that involves the body's muscles such as kicking a field goal in a football game or learning to play an instrument. The muscles become used to certain movements and the more they are used to kicking a football or playing a guitar the more the body gets accustomed to those movements. After a while the muscle memory kicks in and your body just knows how to do something, as long as you are using the proper technique. Just like how you consciously use your brain to answer a question like how to tell if he is cheating on me your brain is also working when you're physically moving and unconsciously thinking. If it makes it easier to remember you can also think of muscle memory in terms of instinct.
